En esta ocasión, los que bajaron a beber y a refrescarse en el bebedero, fueron los Pinzones vulgares (Fringilla coelebs) un paseriforme del tamaño de un gorrión y también perteneciente a la familia de los fringílidos. Los podemos encontrar en muy diversos tipos de habitats, desde bosques hasta jardines urbanos. Sus mayores concentraciones en España se dan en invierno con la llegada de miles de invernantes procedentes del norte de Europa. En las fotos se muestran por orden el macho, la Hembra y un juvenil del año. En ellas, se puede ver el acusado dimorfismo sexual entre el llamativo colorido del macho y el tono mucho mas críptico de la hembra.

Another family that drinks together
